Our story
Halfmoon Coffee Co. started as a two-group espresso cart outside the Alder Street farmers market. Today we roast every bean ourselves on a 15-kilo Probat in our back room, and still buy most of our coffee directly from the same families we met on our first sourcing trip.
We pay an average of 2.4× the fair-trade minimum — because great coffee starts with people who can afford to grow it.

The Halfmoon Coffee Co. standard
Six small decisions that add up to a coffee you’ll cross town for.
We visit every farm we buy from and publish the price we paid on every bag.
Small 15-kilo batches every Tuesday, rested five days before they hit the grinder.
Grind, dose and yield are re-checked every hour as the beans and weather change.
Compostable cups, a grounds-for-gardens program and 10% off when you bring a mug.
Whole milk from Sunny Ridge Dairy, 40 miles away. Oat is always free.
Every barista completes 60 hours of training before they pull a single shot for you.
